We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Barback to join our team at Ritual House, a renowned fine dining establishment. As a Barback, you will play a crucial supporting role to our bartenders, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the bar by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and providing prompt assistance during service. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks by stocking liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, restocking supplies, and ensuring the bar is ready for service.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock items as needed, and assist with stock rotation.
• Clean and sanitize glassware, tools, and equipment.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, and maintain cleanliness of storage areas and bar equipment.
• Assist with setting up the bar area before opening and breaking down after closing.
• Ensure a steady supply of ice, mixers, and other bar essentials.
• Communicate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Handle customer inquiries with a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow all safety, health, and sanitation regulations and guidelines.
• Assist with special events and contracted party services as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barback, busser, or in a similar support role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic bar operations, including drink preparation, bar equipment, and inventory management is preferred.
• Ability to stand, lift, and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) throughout a shift.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
