Are you a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) passionate about providing essential, hands-on care during life's most meaningful moments? Join our dedicated hospice care team and make a difference for patients and families during end-of-life journeys.
Your Role as a Hospice Aide:
- Deliver direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
- Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
- Support safe mobility, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs.
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping duties.
- Observe and report any changes in the patient's physical or mental condition.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of visits.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Quality Improvement activities.
- Practice infection control and follow safety protocols consistently.
What You'll Bring:
- Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
- Current CPR certification (Required).
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
- Six (6) months or more of direct patient care experience (Preferred).
- Experience working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a strong ability to handle emotional situations.
- Willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, or oncology.
- Previous roles in hospital nursing, ICU, geriatrics, med-surg, ER, telemetry, or nursing homes.
- Exposure to end-of-life care, wound care, or admissions support is a plus.
