Pay: $30–$34/hour (depending on education & experience)

What You’ll DoInspire & Guide
  • Plan and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons tailored to students’ developmental needs.

  • Design learning objectives that are developmentally appropriate, incorporating open-ended questions and real-world connections.

  • Foster curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through hands-on, play-based experiences.

  • Create a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom where every child feels known, valued, and respected.

  • Maintain consistent, positive guidance and behavioral expectations.

  • Establish classroom routines, transitions, and expectations that balance structure with flexibility.

Support Growth & Development
  • Partner with families to set and celebrate goals for each child’s social, emotional, and academic progress.

  • Communicate regularly and thoughtfully with parents about classroom life and student growth.

  • Monitor student engagement and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles.

  • Work closely with co-teachers and colleagues to share ideas, reflect on practice, and continuously improve.

Ensure Safety & Supervision
  • Supervise students during class, transitions, and outdoor play, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Model problem-solving and emotional regulation skills for children.

  • Follow and reinforce all health, safety, and emergency procedures.

Who You Are
  • Educated & Experienced: BA/BS in Early Childhood Education (preferred), or related field; minimum AS with 12 ECE units required.
