Job Description

Rockydale Quarries is seeking a dependable individual to operate an excavator and other related mobile equipment while assisting with various duties at our Quicksburg, Virginia, aggregate plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment to support daily plant production and operations
• Assist with general plant duties, including cleanup and material handling
• Inspect plant areas and perform basic maintenance and repair tasks as needed
• Perform welding and fabrication duties when required
• Identify safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and take appropriate action
• Follow instructions and work safely in a team environment
• Comply with all Company policies and MSHA safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience operating an excavator or similar heavy equipment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform plant-related tasks
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a quarry environment
• High school education or GED required
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
