Amca is building airplanes for the 21st century, starting by designing new hardware that flies on today’s planes. Aviation was once humanity’s boldest ambition, but the industry hasn’t successfully built a new plane in 40 years. We don’t think it has to be this way. Overview You will be a key player in the development cycle for new products by designing tooling for injection molded parts. Responsibilities Design injection mold tooling Work with design engineers to rapidly develop injection mold tooling Develop rapid prototyping process for new injection mold designs Assist Amca with other tooling design needs Qualifications 5+ years experience in injection mold design 5+ years experience in standard CAD software (e.g. NX, Catia, Solidworks, etc.) Proficient in CAD, PLM/PDM systems, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Comfortable designing injection mold tooling for different machines, materials, and processes like insert molding, overmolding, transfer molding, and standard injection molding This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
