Description
\n\t\t\t\t\tYou will be verifying insurance coverage and benefits utilizing all available verification and eligibility tools and calls payers to collect more information. You will also obtains the necessary referral, authorization, or pre-certification prior to services being provided as required by the payer. \n\nAlso will be obtaining patient information to facilitate the verification of the unique patient identifiers for clinical purposes, billing and collections process. Will also be estimating self-pay portions after benefits have been determined (deductibles, co-pays, non-covered services).\n\nResponsible for the accurate, complete, and timely capture and data entry of patients’ demographic, financial, and clinical information into the various information systems including pre-registration and/or scanning information systems.

\n\t\t\t\t\tHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n2+ years related experience in a benefits/referral coordinator/insurance verification/authorization job/AR/medical billing in healthcare/hospital setting\nBilingual ENLISH/SPANISH would be a huge PLUS, but not a must\nIDEAL TO HAVE EPIC as they will be pulling data from EPIC (companies that use it: Hopkins, UMMS, Mercy, UMFPI)\nMust be familiar with all payors and payor portals\nMust have STRONG Computer skills

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
