LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Neonatal NP in Galesburg, Illinois, 61401!

We are seeking two experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners for a locum tenens assignment in Illinois, starting Feb 16, 2026. This three-month opportunity features five 24-hour call shifts every two weeks, each with 8 hours on-site for clinic and the remainder on off-site call. Providers will support Newborn Nursery and Special Care Nursery, working closely with a multidisciplinary perinatal team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform comprehensive newborn assessments in nursery settings
  • Attend deliveries and provide immediate neonatal care
  • Manage respiratory and other acute needs for newborns
  • Coordinate care with nursing and medical staff
  • Work autonomously while maintaining collaboration with the broader perinatal team

Additional Information

  • Active Illinois state license required
  • Minimum 2 years of independent neonatal clinical experience
  • Board certification required
  • DEA and Illinois CSR required
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
