Data Architect (Medical Imaging/Dicom)

As a Data Architect, you will:

• Design and manage large-scale, petabyte-level imaging and clinical data ecosystems.
• Contribute to high-impact projects spanning radiology, digital pathology, ophthalmology, neurology, and oncology.
• Drive the architecture strategy for next-generation healthcare platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect high-throughput ingestion pipelines for large scale imaging, clinical and omics data in a validated environment
• Ingest, curate, store the data making it available for internal evidence generation, annotation, running deep learning jobs, and statistical analysis
• Design canonical schema, lineage, governance and interoperability for the multi-modal data
• Optimize storage and retrieval strategies for petabyte-scale datasetsLink different data modalities
• Design backup & disaster recovery
• Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GxP and SaMD standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with regulatory and operational requirements
• Organize data such that it should be easy to integrate Gen AI for intelligent workflows & conversational analytics
• Create proof of concept for important areas

Required Skills & Experience

• 15 years expertise in Data Architecture
• Handled peta-byte scale imaging data
• Handled clinical and omics data
• Extensive experience on AWS cloud services pertaining to data architecture e.g., Glue, S3, FSx for Lustre, Collibra, Redshift, Lake Formation, Postgres etc.
• Knowledge of imaging standards e.g. DICOM, NIFTI
• Worked in radiology & digital pathology
• Worked in ophthalmology / neurology / oncology disease areas
• DICOM & Non-DICOM protocol and formats

Location: -

San Francisco, CA (Onsite 4 days/Week)

Educational Qualifications: -

• Engineering Degree – BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
• Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Salary Range: -

• The estimated salary range for this position is $230,000 to $250,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and location.
