We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team in Queensbury, New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience with a strong understanding of steel shapes, sizes, fabrication requirements, and take-off processes.

 

Responsibilities Include:

• Review drawings, blueprints, specifications, and engineered plans
• Perform detailed material take-offs and pricing
• Prepare cost estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, and vendors
• Assist in proposal development and bid submissions
• Support value-engineering and cost-reduction options

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of structural steel estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of steel shapes, sizes, weights, and fabrication processes
• Proficiency with take-off software and digital plan reading tools
• Construction knowledge or field experience is a strong plus
• Excellent math, communication, and detail-oriented skills
• Project Management knowledge is a plus
