Job Title: Travel Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (CST/OR) Location: Shoals Hospital, Muscle Shoals, AL Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Assignment Type: Travel Contract

Job Summary: Shoals Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team on a travel assignment. This role involves supporting surgical procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and supplies are available and sterile
• Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by handling instruments and supplies
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards
• Monitor and manage surgical equipment throughout procedures
• Support patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery
• Document procedures and maintain accurate records in compliance with hospital standards

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent operating room experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques
• Ability to work early morning shifts and adapt to a fast-paced surgical environment
