Traveling Project Engineer Bridge, Rail & Highway Construction
We are seeking a Traveling Project Engineer to support complex bridge, rail, and highway projects across multiple locations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in heavy civil construction and thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate field activities including subcontractor communication, material procurement, and client interaction.
- Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Assist with project documentation, cost tracking, and quality control.
- Participate in site layout, surveying, and field problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure work complies with specifications and standards.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
- 4+ years of experience on bridge, rail, or highway projects preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Experience or training in construction surveying is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively on active construction sites.
- Willingness to travel and work on rotation schedules as needed.
