Description
Waterford Public Schools has an immediate vacancy for a team-oriented individual. Waterford Public Schools is seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, and organized candidate for the position of Vocational Site Organizer . Under the supervision of the Director of Special Services, this position will serve students in the Avery Point Program.The Vocational Site Organizer supports the successful transition of special education students from school to community/post-secondary educational settings. The successful candidate must be interested in helping students with disabilities learn how to use job related tools correctly and interact appropriately in work environments.
Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. Qualifications
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experience in an educational or vocational setting supporting young adults.
Ability to obtain a Connecticut Public Service License Endorsement.
Hourly rate up to $25.24, depending on experience plus benefits.
This is a full-time position working the school year and the Extended School Year (ESY).
