The following position will have the flexibility to be based anywhere in the U.S., for candidates who are willing to travel to the Stanford School of Medicine campus 5%-10% of the time, as needed.
This will be a 2-year fixed-term position with a possibility for extension based on performance, the availability of funding and programmatic needs.
The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biostatistician 3 to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing emergency medicine population health and health services projects, with a focus on ensuring successful completion of extramurally funded research projects with diverse teams. The position will be primarily based in Dr. Michelle Lin’s lab conducting NIH-funded research to improve emergency care delivery, outcomes, and health equity.
The successful candidate must be technically rigorous, possess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and have a track-record of excellence, innovation, and productivity in research. Experience independently designing and analyzing scientific studies using administrative datasets (e.g.: Medicare or commercial claims) is required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics or related field and at least 5 years of experience or Ph.D. in health policy, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related field.

This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five regional pay structures. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $148,561 to $179,602 per annum (within 10 Bay Area counties) or $123,292 to $161,995 per annum (all other regions).
