Maintenance Technician I

Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician I. The hourly rate for this position is $27.15 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You'll Do:

This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, plant utilities, and buildings. The incumbent is responsible for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and facility repairs.

• Repairs malfunctioning machines, equipment, and small tools/parts, and escalates problems requiring assistance to the supervisor for corrective action
• Performs repairs on electrical and electronic equipment including but not limited to motor replacement, hoist pendent replacement, fuses, motor brushes, and overloads
• Performs preventative maintenance and/or lubrication on machinery and equipment to ensure proper orientation, and makes necessary adjustments or repairs
• Performs repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Performs layout and fabrication of miscellaneous weldments from sketches and drawings using various welding equipment
• Performs utility maintenance involving the repair, replacement, and installation of electrical, oil, and gas lines
• Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools, welders and torches, presses, micrometers and other measuring devices
• Performs building and facilities maintenance as required
• Operates various industrial vehicles used in material/machine moving or lift equipment
• Assists in the installation and relocation involving production machines and equipment
• Assists in on-the-job training of employees, work assignments in other job classifications, and projects
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applications must be US persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of the location will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding and PLC/electronic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Completion of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program at a technical school
